Child Advocate, Guardian Ad Litem, Charlotte County Florida
Guardian Ad Litem of Charlotte county Florida advocates for abandoned abused and neglected children in the 20th Judicial Circuit. These children, through no fault of their own, find themselves in the child welfare system. You can be their voice in the courts. We are a volunteer driven organization with free virtual training and strong staff support. If you have a heart to help these kids, the ability to learn, and 10-12 hours per month to give, you could be a good fit for our program. During this period of covid 19, as kids are returning to school, we are discovering an increase of child abuse cases. We are searching for people to become advocates for these kids. You are never alone as you are trained in advocating for the kids. So come join us, and help us "Change a Childs Story!" Helen Keller said, "the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart". If this speaks to your heart, contact us at 941-467-4663 or 941-613-3233 email Rick.Sloan@gal.fl.gov
