Public Evacuation Shelter, Registration Coordinators
Register all residents as they arrive at the shelter
- Temperature screening
- Room assignment (using tools provided)
- Distribute masks to residents
- Track residents leaving the shelter (during long-term sheltering)
- Coordinate with the Florida Department of Health and Animal Services Registration Coordinator
Shelter Location:
Shelters are located throughout the county. Shelters will not open for every storm, so assignments may vary.
Schedule:
Sign up for 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Shelter volunteers will report to the assigned site 15 minutes before the start of the shift.
Additional Information:
Must be 18 years of age. Volunteers will be assigned to General Population Shelters nly. No volunteer will be asked to assist Special Needs Shelters or Pet-Friendly Shelters.
