Volunteer Opportunities for Seniors (55+) – Highlands County
RSVP of Highlands County sponsored by South Florida State College (SFSC)
Are you an energetic senior looking to volunteer in your community? AmeriCorps Seniors is the largest volunteer organization for seniors in the US. As a member of RSVP, you will be able to use the skills and knowledge you have acquired over the years to serve your community and make a positive impact, by serving Highlands County residents in need.
RSVP of Highlands County helps to match seniors with the perfect volunteer opportunities at no cost. We are federally funded through AmeriCorps and sponsored locally by SFSC.
Our current volunteer opportunities include: food sorters at food pantries, delivering meals to homebound individuals, thrift store volunteers, administrative/ office volunteers for several non- profit organizations and adult literacy- ESOL tutoring at SFSC, just to name a few.
