Habitat for Humanity ReStore Volunteer
Our ReStore is a donation supported thrift store that sells excess building materials and tools, DIY project materials, appliances and equipment, furniture and household items at greatly reduced prices. The proceeds are used to purchase the building materials and tools needed in our home construction projects. The ReStore is managed by a fulltime Habitat staff member but most of the day to day operations are completed by volunteers. Our ReStore is open Monday-Saturday from 9-6PM and is located at 4700 Allen Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541. All new volunteers would need to contact Jere Ferguson at the program office to determine availability and meet with or contact Jenny Lehman, ReStore Manager, prior to their first shift.
In addition to helping with our receiving areas, sales departments, and customer service this opportunity would be perfect for those handy people who enjoy refurbishing neglected furniture, "re purposing" or "upcycling" unique treasures. Volunteers take pieces that need repairs, refinishing, or other care, and prepare them to be offered in our ReStore. Choose your own projects based on your abilities and interests. This is the perfect position for the creative and imaginative tinkerer who loves to find new lives within hidden treasures. This opportunity provides flexible scheduling (a few days a week are preferred)
