Opportunity Details
Waterway Cleanup - Ft. Lauderdale
Every year the Marine Industries Association Of South Florida sponsors a county wide waterway cleanup. Volunteers are recruited from all walks of life to help clean up the waterways, canals and public access areas all over Broward County, Florida of litter, debris, and or trash.
At their various locations (one being Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park), supporters and site coordinators weigh and sort out the different types of material collected by the volunteers.
When the cleanup is over, MIASF has a meeting site to review the days results and they also provide a cook out lunch for the volunteers to enjoy.
