History Center Orlando & Senior Corps/RSVP Volunteer Open House
Senior Corps draws on the knowledge and skills of volunteers aged 55 and older by matching them with meaningful service opportunities in their local communities. Volunteers can serve under the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Volunteers for Community Impact RSVP Coordinator will be available to meet at this open house.
Learn how you can join the History Center to serve as the gateway for community engagement, education, and inspiration by preserving and sharing Central Florida’s continually unfolding story.

CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT THE HISTORY CENTER
Museum Docent (Tour Guide)
Guide groups on a 2-hour tour thru galleries honoring the experiences and contributions of those who came before us and sharing Central Florida’s continually unfolding story.
Commit to volunteer an average of one day per week for tours, preferably minimum 12 months.
Event Volunteers assist with set up and breakdown, managing supplies, providing instructions, facilitating activities, etc. during History Center events.
- Youth and Family Programming – may include: Family Days, Smithsonian Museum Day, Heritage Day, and exhibition openings
Adult programming – may include: Florida Highwaymen Meet & Greet, Retro Game Night, Trivia Night, and exhibition openings
