Alzheimer's Project Social Club Volunteer
Our respite clubs are M-F from 9:00am-3:00pm. There are 6 different locations around Tallahassee and volunteers can choose the times and locations they would like to volunteer at. Volunteers assist our clients with crafts, chair exercises, music, games, and other activities. Volunteers are so valuable to our organization.
Our organization exists to provide care and resources to persons with memory disorders and their families in the Big Bend area. Our mission is to assist families in living well with dementia. Alzheimer's Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization funded by grants and private donations.
We have many volunteer opportunities:
*All volunteers are asked to make a 6 month commitment.
*All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
*All volunteers must attend volunteer training before beginning to volunteer.
Volunteer Training will be held: Please email mindy@alzheimersproject.org let me know if you plan attend.
At the training we will discuss volunteer opportunities, Alzheimer’s disease, and participate in hands-on activities to learn how to interact with adults with dementia. After the training you will sign-up for an interview at which we will discuss the volunteer opportunities for which you are interested and your availability. At this time we will also discuss the application process.
