Manatee Literacy Council empowers Manatee County residents to independence. We envision a Manatee County where every adult is literate. We offer free English classes to adults in Manatee County including one-on-one tutoring and "Confident Conversation" classes. We also offer workplace and family literacy classes. Manatee Literacy Council is a volunteer-based nonprofit community organization dedicated to increasing the level of literacy through teaching skills of reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking English. We have been serving the Manatee community since 1978.
