These programs enhance ocean learning through story telling, expert interviews, visual media, and interactive teaching aids. A DEEPER DIVE Ocean literacy remains low across the general population due to inconsistent surveying standards, unstructured state-developed curricula, and the increasing struggle of fleeing attention spans in today’s digital age. Addressing ocean illiteracy, therefore, requires a multifaceted solution—one that not only improves content delivery but also reimagines how ocean science is taught, shared, and made relevant to the next generation. Ultimately, our programs aren't just about delivering content—it’s about reshaping how ocean science is delivered, understood, and valued. It's a tool to foster lasting stewardship by equipping today’s learners with the knowledge they need to protect our oceans tomorrow.
