Osceola County Guardian ad Litem Program-9th Circuit
http://www.GuardianadLitem.orgIt is the mission of this program to recruit, train, support and supervise volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children who are alleged to be abused, abandoned or neglected and who are involved in court proceedings. There is training involved along with fingerprints and background checks. Volunteers give 10-12 hours per month to their case and the commitment is approximately 12-18 months to case completion. No special background is needed, just a good heart and desire to help children. Through heartfelt advocacy, our goal is to ensure every child is safe, healthy and thrives in a permanent home.
