ARE YOU READY FOR THE PUBLIC LAUNCH?
In just a few weeks, Volunteer Florida will be launching Volunteer Connect to all Floridians, which will serve as Florida’s official volunteer opportunities platform. This initiative is a capstone project for Volunteer Florida and was born out of our continued mission to foster volunteerism. Through this platform, we hope to change the way Floridians volunteer by making volunteer opportunities readily available and easily accessible.
Throughout this summer, the team at Volunteer Florida has had the opportunity to provide trainings and learn about the great work being done in our state by nonprofit organizations and government entities. Now with over 150+ of these organizations registered and hundreds of potential volunteers eager to join, we are ready for the public launch. Are you?
Volunteer Connect’s tagline is “your source for service in Florida,” and we mean it. We are your source for service. If you are a potential volunteer, we are here to help you find volunteer opportunities in your area. If you are an eligible organization, we are here to help you promote these opportunities. Consider listening to our webinars and reading our blog posts on Posting Engaging Opportunities or our series on Volunteer Management Basics.
Through Volunteer Connect, we believe that more visibility will result in more volunteers for organizations. Help us promote Volunteer Connect among your staff members, volunteers and colleagues who mobilize volunteers. Our publicity of Volunteer Connect will be ongoing and we will be sharing ways to promote the platform, but your recommendation is the most powerful advertising. We look forward to partnering with our organizations to message Volunteer Connect to potential volunteers.
Volunteer Florida is ready to create a culture of volunteerism in the State of Florida and Volunteer Connect is just the beginning. Join us this fall as we change the way that Floridians serve in the Sunshine State.
